A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to 75 years imprisonment over corruption linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
Justice James Omotosho convicted Mamman on a 12-count charge and ruled that the prison terms would run consecutively.
The court also ordered security agencies to arrest the former minister wherever he is found, stating that his jail term would begin from the day of his arrest.
In addition, the judge directed that all recovered funds and properties connected to the case be forfeited to the Federal Government. Mamman was also ordered to refund the remaining balance from the alleged N22 billion linked to the projects.
