Aisha Yesufu Dumps ADC, Joins NDC

Prominent activist Aisha Yesufu has left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). She also announced her plan to contest for the Federal Capital Territory senatorial seat in the 2027 elections. Yesufu said her decision was based on her support for Peter Obi, noting that her political moves are aligned with his vision for the country. She explained that although she started her journey in the ADC, moving to the NDC is part of keeping her promise to support Obi’s direction. The activist added that she completed her duties in the ADC before leaving and appreciated members of the party for their support. Her defection comes amid ongoing political shifts, as more politicians move into the NDC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
