Founder of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has sparked reactions online after cautioning church members against chewing gum, drinking water, and using phones during services.
Speaking during a church service in a video shared online, the cleric stressed the need for reverence and proper conduct in the house of God.
Ibiyeomie described chewing gum in church as inappropriate and advised members who need to drink water to step outside. He also discouraged the use of phones during worship sessions.
The pastor added that respected clerics such as Enoch Adeboye and David Oyedepo do not drink water while ministering on the altar, describing such acts as indecent.
His comments have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some supporting the call for discipline in church while others questioned the practicality of the directives.
